HOW TO multiply decimals
Follow these three steps:
1. Multiply decimals as if they were whole numbers.
2.5
* 1.3
7 5
2 5
2. Now add the products
2.5
* 1.3
7 5
2 5
3 2 5
3. Finally, figure out where the decimal belongs by counting how many places there are to the right of the decimal point. In this case, there are two numbers: 5 and 3 that are to the right of the decimal points, so in the product, we'll move the decimal 2 places to get a final answer of 3.25.
